The inspiration comes from the vibrant culture, architecture, and art of Brazil, aiming to create a luminous product that embodies these elements. The goal was to craft something innovative and refined—suitable for both residential and workspaces—that offers a soothing light inspired by the glow of the sunset. The design was based on the use of primary geometric forms, combined to highlight the beauty of the materials and textures, resulting in a piece rich in natural contrast. The lamp stands out for its blend of warm and cool materials, enhancing natural elements and evoking nostalgic emotions. It features Rojo Alicante marble, walnut wood, brushed brass, and a linen shade to create a striking visual effect. The design style draws inspiration from Brazilian design of the 1950s–60s. Additionally, the use of natural materials provides a solid, familiar, and comforting feel. In terms of functionality, the table lamp is very easy to use—plugged directly into an outlet through a brown fabric-covered cord with a brushed brass on/off switch. Its main structure is made of marble and wood, with brass joints and details, ensuring that the strength of these materials contributes to the product’s long-lasting durability. In 2023, the Poente lamp won 1st place in the table lamp category at the SIT Furniture Design Award, and received a Bronze award in the Lighting and Light Fixtures category at the A' Design Award.
